Without knowing exactly what import sockets you have on your TV one option you could look at is:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=37141&source=2001&doy=27m5

That will take car of you picture you'll need additional composite cables for audio.

Or you could make life much easier. Buy an X-box 360, network it or download the movies to its own HDD, plus you will be able to play HD quality movies........result!

An X Box won't play every film you download and streamed form the PC. Most will need converting to .WMV or what ever the X box supports.

Quote:

What types of media stored on my Media Center PC can I access through my Xbox 360?
MPEG-1 with MPEG audio
MPEG-2 with MPEG audio or AC-3 audio
WMV 7, 8, & 9 with WMA Standard or WMA Pro audio
WMV Image 1 & 2 (Photo Story 1, 2, & 3)

Can I transfer actual music files from my Media Center PC to my Xbox 360?
With your Xbox 360 connected to a PC running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you will be able to access and play music though the Xbox 360. However, those media files are not stored on the Xbox 360; they are instead streamed to the console.

Do your video cards support HDMI output?

I expect that the TV also has a standard 15 pin VGA connector so could be used as a second monitor and the movies played directly from the PC using Media Player or similar. Sound has been covered elsewhere.

Is says it does the following:

Connections
Bus Type PCI Express x16
Connector(s) Dual DVI-I, HDTV + VIVO
Multiple Monitor Support Yes
HDCP No
RAMDACs Dual 400MHz

So, where does this lead? (Excuse the pun)

Also how do I split the sound, do i have to unplug the current wires from my sound card out put to go to the TV or can I split them with a splitter?

Sound - depends on what outputs your sound card has and what inputs the TV has. What make is it?

You can always use a splitter at the sound card end but you may not need to do this.

Does it also have digital OUT and does the TV accept digital IN in the same format?

just use a DVI - HDMI lead for your picture, less than 10 quid off ebay, thats what i plan to do, vga plug worked on mine but its analogue, and you will loose signal over distance, dvi is digital, so no loss.

sound all i.m gonna use is a phono - phono lead form computer to tv, i'm sure it will have the port. mine does!! even my old tv did ffs.

also get the latest drivers for your video card, i had to update mine to support hdtv's resolutions. Don put me onto that one, tx Don.

Go get em tiger lillie billie licker. hahahahahaha
